BPP & Associates was founded by Alison Burgess and Andrew Gardler to bring hands-on, execution-focused consulting to industries where operational excellence drives competitive advantage. We've led global transformation across retail, mining, manufacturing and transportation - not just from the boardroom, but on the ground with teams making change happen.
Our history
Alison Burgess:
Alison spent 15 years at Loblaw, Canada’s largest grocery retailer, leading enterprise-wide process design and partnering with senior executives to deliver strategic initiatives. She later spent time at Vale, working directly with the C-suite to lead their Base Metals global operational excellence team across Canada, Brazil, and Indonesia. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Honeywell and in risk management consulting in Malaysia, gaining international exposure and a foundation in operational strategy. Alison combines operational rigor with a people-first approach, making change stick while delivering measurable results.
Andrew Gardler:
Andrew brings over 30 years of expertise in Leading Process Design and Continuous Improvement teams using methods such as Lean Six Sigma and Robust Quality System Design, his experience spans across manufacturing, retail, transportation and mining. He focuses on practical solutions that drive results quickly, embedding capability with teams to ensure long-term success.
